Following the introduction of the UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy Oakley College is delighted to say that we have welcomed back all of our young people (age 18 – 25).

We now have 75 learners with us (up from 10 in September 2018 and 40 in September 2019) who have all successfully followed our specifically designed and personalised “recovery curriculum” for their first two weeks in college.

Following on from the success of this and the reintegration of our learners, from Monday 21st September we have moved to our full curriculum offer, with five different, interconnected learning pathways based upon the national Preparation for Adulthood framework.

As a specialist post-16 institution, we continue to follow the government guidance set out in the link below.

The main message is:

Oakley College will continue with our mission to be the best that we can be for each and every one of our young people, doing so as safely as possible in our setting, by being positive and yet vigilant, taking all appropriate precautions whilst remaining totally committed to our vision – preparing our learners for adulthood and developing their skills for life, independence and employability so that they can lead fulfilling, meaningful lives as contributing citizens.
