PfA Sensory Newsletters
The sensory newsletters give a weekly insight into what’s happening at College.
Week 4 – It has been a busy week at College. Learners loved the visit to the garden centre to see the fish and purchase more plants for the garden. All this sunshine is definitely helping!
The highlights were Ten Pin Bowling and a takeaway on the last day of term.
Week 3 – It has been a wonderful week in College. Learners showed a lot of skill and concentration making their papier Mache heads, which will eventually be a self-reflection. We cannot wait to see the finished products.
Drama was a great success this week – the learners all participated well in the lesson and chose their own dance moves.
Week 2 – Our Eco Studies this week included a visit to Brookside Garden Centre, planting runner beans and general maintenance of the garden.
Our French theme has continued with some wonderful homemade Chocolate Torsades which were extremely tasty.
Week 1 – This term the learners are studying ” France”. They have been very creative and showed great concentration in Matisse self styled portraits.
One of the highlights this week has been collecting eggs from the new chickens: “Imelda Staunton” “Miranda Hart” “Maggie Smith” and “Kate Beckinsale” who share the field with “Oscar” the pony.
The sunflower competition is in full swing with both learners and staff taking part.
Week – 4 After a nice but rather chilly Easter break it is lovely to see our learners back at College. Learners had a very successful visit to Polhill garden centre to buy some plants for our vegetable patch. Much fun was had in art with self portraits and Matisse inspired snail pictures.
Week – 4 It has been a fun week in College. Learners celebrated Red Nose Day by baking and selling cup cakes and having an afternoon tea party.
