The categories of the progress judgement are defined as follows:
- Insufficient progress: progress has been either slow or insubstantial or both, and the demonstrable impact on learners has been negligible.
- Reasonable progress: the provider’s actions are already having a beneficial impact on learners, and improvements are sustainable and are based on the provider’s thorough quality assurance procedures
- Significant progress: progress has been rapid and is already having considerable beneficial impact on learners.

The Covid pandemic means that this has been one heck of a year in so many ways for everyone. We are pleased to have come through safely and in good health and the excellent Ofsted report is a reflection of the true team effort at our college, where everyone plays their part every day, including our great learners. We opened in September 2018 with ten learners, borrowed equipment and shared space. To have already now achieved the top rating in all three themes is great. We couldn’t have asked for better or more affirmative feedback from the Ofsted Inspectors.
What we have here at the College is very special – the combination of our culture & ethos and the skills, spirit, humour, resilience and creativity of everyone involved. We will all keep working hard, learning from each other and from others, and developing what we do so that we continue to be the best that we can be for our learners and their families – always!
